Dryer stops after a few minutes of the cycle
Issue
- Dryer stops after a few minutes of the cycle
- The appliance stops during operation.
Applies to
- Heat Pump Dryers
- Condenser Dryers
- Vented Dryer
Solution
Drying functions
Sensor Dry Cycles
- Automatic Drying programs
- Humidity sensors are activated throughout each cycle to eliminate over drying, which can be harmful to fabrics.
Time Dry
You can set the program duration, from a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours. The required duration is related to the quantity of laundry in the appliance.
If you find your tumble dryer ending the cycle and switching off after a few minutes of during Automatic Drying program cycles, it might be useful to check the following.
- Load is too small for an automatic drying cycle, use the Time Dry program.
- If you are finishing off clothes in the dryer that have been dried on a clothesline or if the load is very small, use the Time Dry program.
- Make sure that the filter is clean. Check the fluff filter is clean and empty before the drying cycle.
- Check if the “water tank full” indicator is lit (if present). The appliance will stop the cycle if the water tank is full. Empty the tank and restart the cycle.
