The exterior of the appliance is warm or hot to touch
Issue
- The exterior of the appliance is warm or hot to touch
Applies to
- Refrigeration Bottom Mount
- Refrigeration Top Mount
- Refrigeration French Door
- Refrigeration Quad Door
- Refrigeration Side by Side
- Refrigeration Vertical
Solution
This is normal because the appliance transfers heat from the inside out through
the outer panels and the divider between the doors.
The exterior of the cabinet will be much warmer on warmer days it may even feel hot to touch, as the appliance is working harder.
Ensure the appliance has been installed correctly, and the external clearances are correct as per the product installation guide.
Please refer to the installation instruction in the user manual for your particular model.
