Solution

Potential Cause

  1. Ice cubes are not being used frequently enough, and sublimation occurs or interruption of power for prolonged time casing ice cubs to melt.
  2. Ice cubes are hollow (shells of ice with water inside). The hollow cubes break open in the bin and leak their water onto existing ice, which causes it to freeze together.
  3. The ice maker does not get cold enough for long enough. This may be the result of a sensor or temperature issue.

Solution

  • Remove ice container and discard ice clean out container with warm water dry and replace. The ice maker will produce fresh supply.
  • Ice should be used at least twice weekly to keep the cubes separated and tray should be emptied monthly.
  • The filter should be changed regularly. In general, you should change the water filter every six months to ensure the highest possible water quality. Water filter status on the user interface prompts you to replace the filter after a standard amount of water (473 litres) has flowed through the system.
